Pendaftaran UTBK-SBMPTN Dibuka Hari Ini

When there is an end, there is also a beginning. After graduating from high school, students commonly start their journey ahead by finding a job or continue their studies. Those who want to continue their studies must participate in a computer-based written test called UTBK (Ujian Tertulis Berbasis Komputer). The result would be used for the Joint Entrance Selection of State Universities or commonly known as SBMPTN. Meanwhile, at the moment, the period of SBMPTN itself has started from 15 March until 24 April ahead.

LTMPT (Lembaga Tes Masuk Perguruan Tinggi) is an agency that organizes the SBMPTN. Students who graduate in 2019, 2020, 2021 are able to take the UTBK test. In addition, graduates from the A-package in 2019, 2020, and 2021 with a maximum age of 25 years can still take this test. Important to note, participants could only take this test once.

"Students' participation in UTBK is the main requirement to engage in SBMPTN," said Head of Public Relations and Protocol Division of UGM, Dr. Iva Ariani, on Monday (15/3).

She also stated that in order to take the UTBK test, the participants must first have an LTMPT account. There were seven steps in UTBK-SBMPTN 2021. First of all, participants must complete their biodata, confirm the biodata permanently, and then be redirected to select their study preferences.

Participants can select at most two courses in any higher education or institutions such as PTN, PTKIN, and State Polytechnic. The participants should take the test according to their selected courses. If it comes from the Science and Technology (Saintek) field, participants must take the Saintek test, and if it comes from the Social and Humanities (Soshum) field, they must take the Soshum test. However, if they have both fields in their preferences, they can take a mixed-test.

"The priority preferences of each participant could be represented in the order of the study program selection," explained Iva.

The materials for the Saintek test consist of TPS (Scholastic Potential Test) and TKA (Academic Potential Test) of Saintek (Saintek Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology). On the other hand, the Soshum test consists of TPS and TKA of Soshum (Geography, History, Sociology, and Economics). In a mixed-test, the exam materials include TPS, TKA Saintek, and TKA Soshum.

After selecting the program studies preferences, participants who select a program that requires the portfolio are directed to upload the portfolio before proceeding to the next stage. This step is called the selection of UTBK center.

Next step, the participants should confirm the study program, UTBK Center, and payment of UTBK fees before they get the registration number and id card confirmation. After finishing all steps, UTBK-SBMPTN 2021 participant cards can be downloaded.
The UTBK implementation is separated into two periods. The first period is held on 12-18 April. Meanwhile, the second period is held on 26 April-2 May. After that, the participant can access the announcement of the result on 14 June 2021.

The state higher educations (PTN) and State Polytechnics that can be selected and the list of UTBK PTN Centers can be accessed on the ltmpt.ac.id portal. Meanwhile, the list of Undergraduate and Bachelor of Applied study programs provided in UGM, along with the capacity of each study program, can be accessed on the um.ugm.ac.id page.
