The UGM Head of Sub-directorate of Student Creativity had just revealed good news. Not only excel in academics, but UGM also has conducted an excellent performance in the religiosity aspect. Suherman Ph.D. announced that UGM recently brought seven awards home in the Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ).
“I hope these achievements can be a motivation for UGM in seeking other excellent performances,” he said on Tuesday (18/5).
Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta opened this competition for nine branches that consisted of Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (Male and Female), Musabaqah Tartilil Qur’an (Male and Female), Musabaqah Hifdzil Qur’an, Musabaqah Khattil Qur’an, Musabaqah Fahmil Qur’an, Musabaqah Scientific Writing on the Content of the Qur’an, Musabaqah Design for Computer Applications of the Qur’an, and Musabaqah for Scientific Debates The contents of the Qur’an. UGM has been successful in making a few achievements on a few branches. They were:

1st award for Male Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an achieved by Labib Ezzat Zulfikar (Faculty of Engineering),

1st award for Female Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an achieved by Prima Miftahul Jannati (Faculty of Social and Political Sciences),

3rd award for Male Musabaqah Tartil Al Qur’an achieved by Ahmad Syauqy Tafrihani (Faculty of Pharmacy),

1st aspiring winner (big four ranks) award for Female Musabaqah Tartil Qur’an achieved by Alyssa Mutiara F (Faculty of Cultural Sciences).
