The 2021 National Mathematics and Natural Sciences Competition (KNMIPA) has announced its medalists on Friday (30/7). Of 17 UGM students participating in the contest, 14 students managed to win medals consisting of 2 gold, 6 silver, 5 bronze, and 1 Honorable Mention.
“These medals led UGM to attain the 3rd general position following Bandung Institute of Technology with 18 medals and Universitas Indonesia with 15 medals,” said Suherman, UGM Head of Sub-Directorate of Student Creativity, Saturday (31/7).

“Congratulations to the medal-winning students. The hard work of preparing for the competition amid the pandemic paid off. Hopefully, it can inspire other students to stay productive and strive for the best,” he said.
KNMIPA is a national competition in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology hosted by the National Achievement Center (Puspresnas) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. This year, the competition admitted 260 students from various universities in Indonesia.
