UGM Model United Nations (MUN) Community has won six awards in Model United Nations conferences at national and international levels.
On the global stage, the delegates brought home two awards, namely Verbal Commendation and Best Position Paper, at the Nanyang Technology University (NTU) Model United Nations 2023 (NTU MUN 2023) in Singapore.
Nationally, the community won four awards, Best Delegate, two Honorable Mentions, and Verbal Commendation, from MUN 2023, held by Hasanuddin University.
Christansya Eliora Manossoh (Economics & Business), one of the delegates sent to NTU MUN, said the achievement could not be separated from the support of many parties.
“Of course, these international awards are something to be proud of at the beginning of this year,” Eliora said in a release on Monday (27/3).
Eliora was accompanied by two other members, Muhammad Alfi Ramadhan (Math & Natural Sciences) and Najwa Waqiah (Economics & Business), at NTU MUN.
For the Makassar MUN 2023, the community sent a team consisting of: Rafi Prawira Gandana (Social & Political Sciences), Ahmad Faris Darmawan (Social & Political Sciences), Asma Ningrum Abdurrahman (Psychology), Falah Mar’ie Amanullah (Social & Political Sciences), Fideline Abbygail Zefanya (Law), Lamtiar Nauli Sabrina Margareth Nababan (Social & Political Sciences), Meysyah Dwi Nastiya (Cultural Sciences), Teresa Gaia Sebayang (Social & Political Sciences), Muhammad Farkhan (Law), and Muhammad Riefky Fahreza (Social & Political Sciences).
In addition to the delegates who participated as participants, two other members participated as chairs or judges, Gianina Edella (Social & Political Sciences) and Leonard Patrick Bromokusumo (Social & Political Sciences).

Verbal Commendation – Christansya Eliora Manossoh as a delegate of Iran at the Economic and Financial Affairs Council
Best Position Paper – Najwa Waqiah as a delegate of Egypt at the UN Women’s Council.
Makassar MUN 2023
Best Delegate – Asma Ningrum Abdurrahman as a delegate of Belgium at the United Nations International Children Emergency Fund
Honorable Mention – Teresa Gaia Sebayang and Lamtiar Nauli Sabrina Margareth Nababan at the United Nations Security Council
Verbal Commendation – Ahmad Faris Darmawan and Rafi Prawira Gandana at the United Nations Security Council
Honorable Mention – Muhammad Riefky Fahreza at the International Labor Organization
