45 UGM students have been awarded scholarships from PT Bank Central Asia TBK. Albert Ramali, Head of Operations Branch (KOC) BCA KCU Yogyakarta, announced the Bakti BCA Scholarship awardees in the Multimedia Room at UGM on Monday (Mar. 25).
UGM students receiving the Bakti BCA Scholarship will receive educational assistance for the tuition fee payment and a monthly stipend of 500 thousand rupiah per student.
Albert Ramali stated that PT BCA Tbk acknowledges the importance of education as a driver of socio-economic development and the creation of an inclusive society. Education is believed to be a long-term investment that will have a broad positive impact on society and the country.
“Therefore, BCA, as part of the national banking sector, is supporting the young generation of Indonesia in maximizing their potential through the Bakti BCA Scholarship program,” he said.
He mentioned that BCA has awarded scholarships to over 7,000 undergraduate students since 2009. The scholarships provided are financial aid for education and include training programs to equip students with the necessary competencies for the future.
“We are committed to providing appropriate guidance and mentoring to help students achieve career excellence. We believe that with the right guidance, they can develop their potential optimally,” he expressed.
Many good works have been produced in previous Bakti BCA scholarship programs, so PT BCA Tbk is very excited to anticipate more positive outcomes from the Bakti BCA Scholarship program in the coming years. BCA appreciates all parties that have provided continuous support to realize the scholarship program.

UGM Director of Student Affairs, Dr. Sindung Tjahyadi, welcomed and thanked PT BCA Tbk for its concern in advancing education in Indonesia. The provision of the Bakti BCA Scholarship certainly greatly assists the smooth progress of UGM students’ studies.
“Thank you to BCA for caring, paying attention, and donating to education for 14 years. We at UGM are very grateful for the Bakti BCA Scholarship because it will certainly support our students’ learning process,” he said.
As a note, the Bakti BCA Scholarship is given to outstanding students with financial need. They are required to have a minimum GPA of 3.00.
