A total of 56 Student Creativity Program (PKM) proposals from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) have successfully secured funding from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.
The distribution of the 56 funded proposals across eight categories by faculty shows that the largest contribution comes from the Faculty of Engineering (FT UGM), with 13 proposals, followed by 8 proposals from the Vocational College (SV UGM) and 7 from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA UGM).
The remaining proposals come from various other faculties at UGM, all of which actively support and encourage student participation in this program.
“Congratulations to all the selected teams, this is certainly a proud achievement. However, it’s important to remember that this is only the beginning of the journey. We must continue providing support and preparing strategies to move forward, with the hope that many of them will reach the PIMNAS stage and bring pride to UGM,” said Dr. Hempri Suyatna, Secretary of the UGM Directorate of Student Affairs, on Wednesday, Jul. 9, 2025.
Suprijani, Head of the Subdirectorate for Student Creativity Development at UGM, expressed hope that this success would inspire all students to continue innovating, creating, and contributing positively to society.
“We hope the program implementation will run smoothly and become a valuable experience for all participants,” she said.
According to Suprijani, this year, UGM submitted 291 PKM proposals across eight categories. Of those, 56 successfully received funding.
The funded proposals span various fields, including 9 proposals in Entrepreneurship (PKM-K), 8 proposals in Intellectual Creation (PKM-KC), 6 proposals in Community Service (PKM-PM), and 10 proposals in Exact Sciences Research (PKM-RE).
Next, there are 11 proposals in Social Sciences and Humanities Research (PKM-RSH), 7 proposals in the Application of Science and Technology (PKM-PI), 2 proposals in Innovative Work (PKM-KI), and 3 proposals in Constructive Idea Videos (PKM-VGK).
