Universitas Gadjah Mada carried out a community service programme to mark the UGM anniversary (27/9). This is a cooperation between Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Medicine, Inspiring Bulaksumur Urban Community (IBUc), Gama Multi Group, Swaragama Group, Rumah Sehat and Apotek UGM as well as RZIS. They gave free dental, eye, and general treatment to the public at Rumah Sehat and Apotek UGM.
Finance Director of Gama Multi Group, Taufikur Rahman, SE, MBA, said the programme would continue in October and November 2014 in the form of surgeries for cataract and glaucoma as well as free glasses, also glucose, uric acid, cholesterol, and bone density tests.
As many as 200 people turned up for the event. The event is aimed at underprivileged community to get free medical checks.
