As many as 68 deans of Faculty of Economics across Indonesia have attended a plenary meeting of the Association of Faculty of Economics and Business Indonesia at UGM on Thursday (26/3) to discuss their program in 2016, including the quality improvement of higher learning.
Secretary general of the Association, Popy Rufaidah, Ph.D., said they also discussed national issues that relate to quality improvement of higher learning. They were preparing for the establishment of an independent accreditation agency (LAM).“We’re preparing for the establishment of an independent accreditation agency for the disciplines of accounting, economics, management, and business,” she said alongside the event.
They further discussed ways to increase their contribution to society development in terms of education, research, and community service.
“In addition, we discuss organisational development by initiating collaborations with the Australian Business Dean’s Council,” she said.
Rector of UGM, Prof. Ir. Dwikorita Karnawati, M.Sc., Ph.D., expected from the meeting that new ideas and real work output could bring significant progress to the nation.
