The Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing at Universitas Gadjah Mada (FK-KMK UGM) has officially declared itself an Integrity Zone (Zona Integritas/ZI) in line with its commitment to establishing a Corruption-Free Area (Wilayah Bebas Korupsi/WBK) within the university environment. The declaration ceremony took place on Friday, Jun. 20, 2025, at the Graha Wiyata Auditorium of FK-KMK UGM.
This milestone was marked by the signing of the Integrity Zone commitment charter by Professor Yodi Mahendradhata, Dean of FK-KMK UGM, along with the Vice-Deans, in the presence of the UGM Rector.
Dean Mahendradhata stated that the declaration of the integrity zone aligns with national policy issued by the Ministry of Bureaucratic Reform.
This initiative reinforces FK-KMK UGM’s dedication not only as an academic and research institution but also as a role model for promoting a clean work culture, free from corruption, and focused on public service.
According to him, this declaration can further advance our faculty, which is highly committed to integrity.
“Integrity does not belong solely to the institution; it belongs to all of us. Integrity is the very breath of every service we provide,” the dean emphasized.
As part of its readiness to implement the ZI, FK-KMK UGM has formed a technical team focused on six core areas: change management, procedural restructuring, human resources system organization, accountability strengthening, oversight enhancement, and improving the quality of public services.
One of the key innovations includes the development of a digital One-Stop Service system to accelerate administrative processes and permit management with greater transparency.

UGM Rector Professor Ova Emilia stated that the commitment to implementing an integrity zone should extend beyond internal faculty operations and result in excellent service experiences for the academic community and all stakeholders involved.
“I truly appreciate this significant initiative. It reflects our responsibility to uphold excellence and trust in higher education governance,” she said.
The declaration of the Integrity Zone at FK-KMK UGM marks a concrete step toward building an institutional governance framework that is clean, transparent, accountable, and professional, while also delivering public services rooted in integrity and ethics.
