The IKN Authority Head, Dr. Basuki Hadimuljono, has been appointed Chair of the Central Board (PP) of the Gadjah Mada Alumni Family (Kagama) for the 2024-2029 term.
The appointment of this UGM Geological Engineering alumnus as the Kagama Chair was based on the results of the 14th Kagama National Congress, which took place on Saturday (Nov. 16) at the Mercure Convention Center Hotel Ancol, Jakarta.
“I pledge to fulfill the duties of the Kagama Central Board to the best of my ability and with fairness, to uphold the Kagama Constitution and Bylaws, and to execute the resolutions of the Kagama National Congress with sincerity and dedication to the nation and the country,” said Dr. Hadimuljono, delivering his oath as Kagama Chair before over a thousand congress participants.
As the new chair, succeeding Ganjar Pranowo, Dr. Hadimuljono expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him, stating that this was an opportunity to devote himself in the remaining years of his life.
“This is my chance to reconnect with the Gadjah Mada alumni. My family is a Kagama family. All three of my children and their spouses are graduates of Gadjah Mada. Now I want to give back to Gadjah Mada, dedicating the rest of my life to it,” he said.
Regarding his plans as the newly appointed Chair of the Kagama Central Board, Dr. Hadimuljono emphasized that he would continue to implement all the programs and achievements established by the previous Kagama Central Board, which Ganjar Pranowo and Dr. Arie Dwipayana led.
