Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and Yayasan Daesang Peduli Indonesia (Daesang Peduli Indonesia Foundation) have agreed to collaborate in the fields of Education, Research, and Community Service.
Both parties agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding for human resource development and to improve the welfare of the Indonesian people through educational programs and social activities.
The cooperation agreement was signed by UGM Secretary Dr. Andi Sandi Antonius Tabusassa Tonralipu and Lim Juwhan, the Foundation’s Treasurer and CFO of PT Daesang Ingredients Indonesia/Miwon.
The signing took place in the UGM Leadership Meeting Room on Monday (Jun. 23). One of the main programs in this collaboration is the Daesang Scholarship Program, which provides scholarships to several outstanding students at UGM.
Lim Juwhan, accompanied by Lim Jauhyun, Supervisor and CFO of PT Daesang Agung Indonesia, and Priscilla Serative, Secretary of the Foundation, expressed his gratitude to UGM for the signed cooperation agreement.

Lim Juwhan stated that, since its establishment 50 years ago, Yayasan Daesang Peduli Indonesia has been committed to supporting human resource development in Indonesia.
According to Lim Juwhan, this scholarship program is a shared commitment to support the education of the younger generation.
“We believe this scholarship will enable UGM students to achieve more and become future leaders. Hopefully, this program will provide real benefits and strengthen the relationship between both parties,” he revealed.
Dr. Tonralipu hopes that the memorandum of understanding between UGM and Yayasan Daesang Peduli Indonesia will be immediately followed up by the Directorate of Student Affairs. This is to ensure that the main objective of the Daesang Scholarship Program is fully utilized by students.
“We also hope for other collaborations, namely in the field of career development for alumni,” Dr. Tonralipu said.
