
The Faculty of Animal Science at Universitas Gadjah Mada (Animal Science UGM) has established a collaborative partnership with PT Haida Agriculture Indonesia to support academic programs, including the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) initiative and engineering practice opportunities.
The agreement was formalized through a signing ceremony held on Thursday (Jul. 3) in Pasuruan, East Java, by the Dean of Animal Science UGM, Professor Budi Guntoro, and Senior Manager of PT Haida Agriculture Indonesia, Yang Jingyong.
Professor Guntoro expressed his hope that this collaboration will be implemented smoothly and bring mutual benefits. Beyond academic cooperation, he noted that this partnership has the potential to expand into research involving both academia and industry.
“We hope everything proceeds well and that academic activities continue to grow,” said Professor Guntoro.
Yang Jingyong shared that PT Haida Agriculture Indonesia is based in Pasuruan, East Java, and is part of an international company originating from China. The company is expanding its operations in Indonesia, primarily by supplying feed for poultry and aquatic animals. Globally, Haida has provided feed solutions for ruminants, pigs, poultry, and marine species.
“In Indonesia, we are currently focusing on poultry and aquaculture. We hope this partnership brings mutual benefit to both parties,” said the senior manager.
During the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding and the visit to PT Haida Agriculture Indonesia, the dean was accompanied by several faculty representatives, including the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Dr. R. Ahmad Romadhoni Surya Putra, the Vice Dean for Finance, Assets, and Human Resources, Dr. Andriyani Astuti, the Secretary of the Undergraduate Program, Dr. Tian Jihadhan Wankar, and the Head of the Office of Cooperation at Animal Science UGM, Dr. Dimas Hand Vidya Paradhipta.
