Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), in partnership with the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), officially completed the integration of an encrypted data coding system into the SIPINTER application (Integrated Procurement Information System) on Wednesday (Jul. 09).
This milestone was marked by a handover ceremony of the encryption application, held in the Executive Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, North Wing of the UGM Central Office.
Vice Rector for Planning, Assets, and Information Systems, Dr. Arief Setiawan Budi Nugroho, stated that the integration aims to strengthen the protection of electronic procurement documents at UGM.
“With the implementation of encryption technology from BSSN, the SIPINTER system now features an additional and more robust layer of security, aligned with the principles of transparent, efficient, and secure digital governance,” said Dr. Nugroho.
The ceremony was attended by representatives from BSSN, including Director of Crypto Operations, Arisriyanto, along with team members Yan Hadynoer, Sofyan Reza Feriyanto, and Sandy Rachman Zawaaid. The team provided a technical overview of the integration and expressed their full support for this strategic collaboration.
Dr. Akhmad Aminullah, representing the Directorate of Technology Information (DTI UGM), noted that the initiative also involved system teams from both the Directorate of Information Technology and the Procurement Office, who have been key drivers in the development and integration of SIPINTER. UGM extended its appreciation to BSSN for the synergy in developing a more secure and reliable electronic procurement system.
“This collaboration is expected to serve as a model for enhancing procurement data security in other higher education institutions across Indonesia, while supporting the creation of a more trustworthy digital procurement environment,” Dr. Nugroho concluded.
