Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and ParagonCorp have officially established a strategic partnership focused on student, alumni, and community development and recruitment.
The discussion took place during the signing ceremony held at the UGM Innovation and Creativity Hub (GIK UGM) on Wednesday, Apr. 16, 2025.
The agreement between UGM and ParagonCorp emphasizes support for UGM student development and recruitment activities.
This initiative is part of broader efforts to enhance career readiness and foster collaboration between academia and industry.
Planned programs include talent development, joint research, and the promotion of career opportunities.
Salman Subakat, co-founder of ParagonCorp, expressed that UGM and Yogyakarta are ideal places to build relationships with the educational world and consumers.
He noted that Yogyakarta was the first place where Paragon’s products gained significant sales and consumer trust.
“This has made us at Paragon confident and able to grow to this day, and now we return to give back,” he said.
UGM warmly welcomed this spirit of collaboration. UGM Rector Professor Ova Emilia stated that the partnership between UGM and ParagonCorp reflects a shared mission between educational institutions and industry to develop talent.
“We hope this collaboration between UGM and Paragon will help nurture the next generation and prepare useful innovations,” she conveyed.
The partnership doesn’t stop there. On the same occasion, the agreement also included support for using GIK UGM as a hub for innovation and creativity.
Paragon also contributes by providing a co-learning space within GIK, the ParagonCorp Collaborative Space. This collaboration is expected to grow and bring lasting benefits to UGM students.
