Dr. Dahliana Hasan, Dean of the UGM Faculty of Law (FH UGM), has been elected Chair of the Indonesian State University Law Faculty Dean Collaboration Board for the 2024-2026 term.
Dr. Hasan was officially chosen by acclamation during the National Working Meeting of the Collaboration Board, which was held at the FH UGM on Tuesday (Jul. 2).
Dr. Hasan expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in her to lead the board for the next two years.
“I hope that the board remains cohesive and can contribute to the development of legal education and legal issues in Indonesia,” said Dr. Hasan in a statement sent to journalists on Thursday (Jul. 4).
The dean explained that this board is a collaborative platform for law faculties at state universities across Indonesia to develop legal education standards in the country.
“Regular meetings are held to develop legal curricula adaptable to societal dynamics and development,” she added.
The meeting also decided that Hasanuddin University would host the next gathering in Makassar, South Sulawesi.
Dr. Hasan succeeds the previous chair, Dr. Imam Prihandono, from Airlangga University. For the 2024-2026 term, Dr. Hasan will be assisted by Dr. Ferry Faturokhman from Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University as the secretary and Dr. Erma Rusdiana from Trunojoyo Madura University as the treasurer.
