Dr. Ahmad Ataka Awwalur Rizqi, a lecturer from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada (DTETI FT UGM), visited the United Kingdom at the end of March.
The visit, which took place from March 18 to 26, aimed to strengthen academic cooperation between UGM and several prestigious universities in the UK.
One of the main agendas of this visit was to meet with the University of Dundee, which has established cooperation with UGM for several academic collaboration programs, including the double degree master’s program.
This visit is a follow-up to a previous visit by representatives from the University of Dundee to UGM in February. Funding support from the SEED Award has made this activity possible.
During his time in Dundee, Dr. Rizqi met with university officials and visited several study programs and laboratories. The programs visited included Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computing, the Centre for Anatomy and Human Identification (CAHID), and Biomedical Engineering.
These visits aimed to discuss opportunities for research and academic cooperation between the two institutions.
After completing his visit to Dundee, Dr. Rizqi continued his journey to London, where he visited several renowned campuses such as University College London, King’s College London, Queen Mary University of London, and Imperial College London.
As a doctoral graduate from King’s College London in 2019, this visit allowed him to explore further cooperation, especially in biomedical engineering and informatics.
It is hoped that this visit will pave the way for closer cooperation between UGM and universities in the United Kingdom and foster collaboration in broader research and education fields.
