Cheers filled the air at the closing night of the 2025 Universitas Gadjah Mada Sports and Arts Week (Porsenigama) at the Pancasila Field. The closing ceremony, held on Saturday (Nov. 29), announced that the Faculty of Engineering (FT UGM) once again secured the overall championship title at Porsenigama 2025, earning 30 gold, 20 silver, and 31 bronze medals (totaling 86), along with the Gadjah Mada Cup.
The Vocational College (SV UGM) placed second with 29 gold, 24 silver, and 32 bronze medals (85 medals), while the Faculty of Agriculture (Agriculture UGM) ranked third with 11 gold, 16 silver, and 26 bronze medals (53 medals).
General Coordinator of Porsenigama 2025, Fatrian Ramadhani, expressed his appreciation to all parties involved. He noted that Porsenigama was held over 42 days, from Oct. 18 to Nov. 29, 2025, featuring 23 sports and 14 arts categories, with a total of 4,882 student participants representing 20 faculty and school contingents.
“A total of 1,187 students won medals, consisting of 375 gold, 373 silver, and 439 bronze medals,” Ramadhani detailed.
Chair of the UGM Student Activity Unit Communication Forum (Forkom UKM) 2025, Matteo Abraham Kobe Susetyo, conveyed his appreciation to the organizing committee, which had worked for more than a month, as well as to the athletes, artists, referees, and officials who upheld the integrity of the competition.
Over the past several weeks, Susetyo noted, students from all faculties and schools gathered, competed, performed, and demonstrated sportsmanship and creativity.
“Victory is not the ultimate goal, but a process that shapes us into better individuals, something that characterizes UGM students,” he said.

Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Community Service, and Alumni, Dr. Arie Sujito, emphasized that Porsenigama is not only a competitive arena but also a platform for nurturing students’ interests and talents.
He underscored the importance of extracurricular activities as part of the student character-building process, while expressing appreciation for the support of faculties, student activity units, and mentors in sustaining student activities at UGM.
According to Dr. Sujito, Porsenigama consistently serves as a space for sharpening skills, achieving excellence, and offering entertainment.
“This year’s event ran very smoothly, without incidents, full of enthusiasm, and demonstrated the strong solidarity among UGM students,” he noted.

The closing ceremony also featured a joint pencak silat performance by university leaders, including Dr. Sujito and Professor Wening Udasmoro, which heightened the excitement and energy of the final night of Porsenigama.
