Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) inaugurated 108 accomplished officials from diverse work units on a momentous Wednesday (Dec. 20).
Under the guidance of the vice-rector for human resources and finance, Professor Supriyadi, the event unfolded with the esteemed presence of several UGM leaders.
Professor Supriyadi, with a sense of pride and responsibility, bestowed the mantle of leadership upon 108 functional officials encompassing academic and functional roles.
The newly inaugurated members included assistant lecturers and lecturers, medical professionals, pharmacists, educational laboratory practitioners, radiographers, and educational laboratory practitioners.
The occasion drew 55 individuals to the UGM Senate Hall, while the remaining participants graced the ceremony virtually.
“I have full confidence that each of you will discharge your duties with utmost dedication, aligning seamlessly with the responsibilities bestowed upon you,” he proclaimed, exuding a sense of optimism for the future.
Integrity, he emphasized, is the linchpin that holds the fabric of UGM’s workforce together. In upholding their professional commitments, the new appointees solemnly swore allegiance during the inauguration—a testament to their unwavering dedication to the institution.
“Integrity is the bedrock, the keyword that binds us all. With integrity, professionalism becomes second nature, intertwining seamlessly with the cultural ethos of fulfilling responsibilities with expertise and unwavering commitment,” he articulated with conviction.
Addressing the gathering, Professor Supriyadi highlighted UGM’s unwavering commitment to heightening the well-being and comfort of its invaluable human resources. This aspiration aligns seamlessly with the institution’s capacity to secure collective funding, propelling UGM to the zenith of academic excellence.
“We orchestrate the synchronization of various domains to ensure the optimal utilization of our resource potential. Of course, this feat would be unattainable without the unwavering support of our esteemed appointees, who have just taken on roles in alignment with their unique capacities,” he acknowledged, expressing gratitude for the collective effort.
The ceremony wasn’t merely a symbolic affair; it marked a profound commitment from UGM to empower and enhance the collaborative spirit of its workforce.
Professor Supriyadi hoped that the inauguration would serve as a catalyst, fueling the newfound leaders’ enthusiasm to navigate their respective work units with dedication and excellence.
“With this momentous inauguration, I fervently hope that it fortifies the commitment of each appointee to contribute their very best—ensuring the optimal progression of UGM,” he concluded.
