Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) is set to unveil the outcomes of the initial wave selection for new students of the International Undergraduate Program (IUP) today (Mar. 6) at 3:00 PM Western Indonesian Time (WIB) through each participant’s designated account.
Successful candidates from the selection must follow the registration protocol starting tomorrow (Mar. 3) to formally enroll at UGM.
“Beyond the announcement lies a series of pivotal steps that must be diligently navigated before participants can officially claim their status as new UGM students,” articulated UGM Vice-Rector for Education and Teaching, Professor Wening Udasmoro.
“It’s essential to thoroughly acquaint oneself with the registration guidelines and required documentation and ensure the completion of all these stages within the specified timeframe.”
Professor Udasmoro highlighted that the entire registration process unfolds online via the simaster.ugm.ac.id platform, providing convenience to prospective students outside the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
The high school diploma (for 2022 and 2023 graduates) or a final year attestation letter from high school (for 2024 graduates) are among the documents that must be uploaded.
Furthermore, prospective students must furnish a drug-free certificate from a healthcare facility and a health insurance card.
The registration window remains open until Mar. 13, 2024, and from Mar. 14 onwards, applicants can review their registration status to proceed with tuition fee payment, slated from Mar. 14-18, 2024.
“Failure to complete these procedures will impede the university’s processing of their registration as UGM students,” Professor Udasmoro mentioned.
The tuition structure for IUP enrollees comprises two components: the Single Tuition Fee (UKT) paid per semester and the Institutional Development Fee (IPI) paid once upon acceptance as a student.
The fee scheme for all study programs at UGM is delineated according to directives outlined by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology in 2024.
These directives encompass Ministerial Regulation Number 2 of 2024, issued on Jan. 19, 2024, delineating the Standard Unit Cost of Higher Education Operations at State Higher Education Institutions within the purview of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, and Ministerial Decree Number 54/P/2024, dated Feb. 5, 2024, stipulating the Amount of Standard Unit Cost of Higher Education Operations.
“The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology has established the Standard Unit Cost of Higher Education Operations, thereby guiding the formulation of UKT and IPI under these directives,” elucidated Professor Udasmoro.
A comprehensive guide on the registration process and prerequisites for prospective new students of IUP will be accessible on the um.ugm.ac.id website after the announcement of results.
Prospective students can contact the UGM Directorate of Education and Teaching Hotline via WhatsApp at 0811 294 1949 for additional inquiries.
