The UGM Faculty of Psychology continues its tradition of fostering career opportunities with the virtual 2024 E-Job Fair, themed “Your Journey in Your Psychology Careers,” held on Feb. 24-25.
This annual event connects job seekers, particularly students and alumni, with potential employers in psychology.
Organized by the Career Center of the Faculty of Psychology, this edition of the E-Job Fair saw collaborative partnerships with PT Komatsu Indonesia, PT Midi Utama Indonesia Tbk (Alfamidi), and Jacaranda Consultant Indonesia.
Kagama Human Capital (KHC) and the Career Development Center (CDC) of the UGM Faculty of Social and Political Sciences joined as media partners.
Dr. Galang Lufityanto, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs of the Faculty of Psychology, emphasized the significance of this job fair in bridging the gap between students’ and alumni’s career aspirations and the evolving job market landscape.
“Currently, education in Indonesia has incorporated internships as part of the curriculum students must undergo during their college years, strengthening their expertise and skills. Upon graduation, we facilitate connections between our skilled graduates and agencies seeking talent,” the vice dean emphasized on Wednesday (Feb. 28).
Ardian Rahman Afandi, the Head of the Career Center of the Faculty of Psychology, underscored the center’s commitment to fostering career and individual development within the UGM psychology community and the broader public.
Afandi emphasized the E-Job Fair’s role in providing insights into job vacancies and industry insights, catering to the needs of graduates from undergraduate and graduate programs.
With a total attendance of 350 participants, including students, alumni, and the general public, the 2024 E-Job Fair featured an engaging Career Talks session titled “Navigating Career Transitions to Make a Difference.”
Esteemed speakers such as Dila Dama Atprinka, Assistant Vice President of Human Capital Strategy & Policy Division at PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, and Aldinda Najib Nur Fathoni from Jacaranda Consultant Indonesia shared valuable insights alongside Zahra Frida Intani, a respected lecturer at the Faculty of Psychology.
On the second day of the E-Job Fair, an Interview Day session provided candidates who passed the initial selection process the opportunity to engage directly with partners from the Faculty of Psychology.
