Dr. Andi Sandi Antonius Tabusassa Tonralipu, the Information and Documentation Management Official (PPID) at UGM, warmly received a visit from the PPID team of the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK) on Thursday (Feb. 29).
In the afternoon meeting, Dr. Tonralipu initiated the session by detailing UGM’s approach to public information transparency, ranging from the public information request process to the annual participation in the Monitoring and Evaluation of Public Information Transparency.
“Transparency is a core value at UGM, but that doesn’t mean we expose everything. We adhere to relevant regulations in our pursuit of public information transparency,” he emphasized.
Dyah Tri Kumolosari, the PPID at Kemenko PMK, expressed that their visit aimed to learn from UGM’s PPID, which has consistently received the ‘informative’ predicate in the past five years of evaluations.
“We appreciate UGM’s willingness to host us and share their experiences. UGM’s PPID has maintained the predicate from the Central Information Commission, and we are eager to understand their public information service practices,” she mentioned.
Throughout the visit, Kumolosari and her team posed insightful questions to UGM’s PPID, fostering an interactive and knowledge-sharing dialogue. The Kemenko PMK’s PPID team aspires to adopt several successful practices implemented by UGM.
Hestining Kurniastuti, the Coordinator of UGM Public Relations, highlighted that UGM’s PPID consistently evaluates its work programs, including monitoring and evaluation participation.
Since joining the monitoring and evaluation in 2016, UGM’s rankings have varied, culminating in the prestigious informative predicate for five consecutive years. The evaluation process identifies areas for improvement, and UGM optimizes resources to meet its targets effectively.
Aside from discussions, the Kemenko PMK team also had the opportunity to tour UGM’s public information service room on the 1st floor of the south wing of the UGM Central Building.
