Orionex Solusi Digital (AutoInsight), one of three Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) student teams competing in the national entrepreneurship competition Pertamuda Seed and Scale 2025, secured the top position in the Early Stage Startup (ESS) category.
With this achievement, Orionex Solusi Digital (AutoInsight) received IDR 100 million in development funding, IDR 25 million in business mentoring assistance, and the opportunity to join an exclusive overseas business program facilitated by PT Pertamina (Persero).
Developed by Bellatrix Gracia Antemeng (Biomedical Engineering) and Rafael Revolusiandro Naranisputra Hutapea (Accounting), Orionex Solusi Digital (AutoInsight) offers a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform designed to support business digitalization through collaborative and efficient solutions.
Meanwhile, two other UGM student teams also competed in the event: Edus.id, founded by Vicky Rian Saputra and Shahrin Nuri Ramadhani, which focuses on a parenting education-based edutech platform combining technology and child psychology.
The second team, Greentech.id, initiated by Arief Putra Pratama and Muhammad Nabil Alfaizi, introduced EcoPave and EcoStep, environmentally friendly paving and flooring products made from recycled plastic waste, rice husks, and used oil.
UGM Director of Student Affairs, Dr. Hempri Suyatna, expressed pride and gratitude for the success of the three UGM student teams that advanced to the final stage of Pertamuda Seed and Scale 2025, organized by PT Pertamina (Persero). He noted that all three teams showcased innovative projects in education, green technology, and digitalization of business.
“These three UGM student teams represented the university at the national entrepreneurship event, and we are grateful that Orionex Solusi Digital (AutoInsight) managed to win,” said Dr. Suyatna at UGM on Thursday (Oct. 30).
Dr. Suyatna explained that Pertamuda Seed and Scale is a national-level student business idea competition designed to strengthen the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The competition also seeks to encourage the emergence of startup enterprises and broaden youth participation in Indonesia’s energy transformation.
“This year, Pertamuda carries the theme ‘Empowering Indonesia’s Sustainable Future’, marking the fifth year of the program since its launch in 2021,” he elaborated.
According to Dr. Suyatna, UGM’s participation in the competition demonstrates the university’s consistent support for student entrepreneurship development. The achievements of UGM’s startup teams, he added, are a source of pride and reinforce UGM’s commitment to nurturing young entrepreneurs.
“UGM continues to strengthen its entrepreneurial development ecosystem, aiming to ensure that student-led businesses can grow sustainably,” he remarked.
For Dr. Suyatna, the participation of UGM students in Pertamuda 2025 forms part of the university’s broader effort to strengthen an innovation and sustainability-based entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Through various campus units and business incubators, UGM continues to encourage students to develop practical, socially oriented, and nationally impactful ideas.
Bellatrix Gracia Antemeng added that the Pertamuda Seed and Scale 2025 competition attracted 3,586 participants from 759 universities across 35 provinces in Indonesia.
Following multiple selection stages, 40 teams were chosen for the Bootcamp phase. Of these, 29 teams advanced to the Demoday stage, and 17 finalists competed in the Final Pitch & Awarding event, held at The Alana Yogyakarta Hotel & Convention Center.
“We are grateful that three UGM student teams advanced to the final stage of the national entrepreneurship competition Pertamuda Seed and Scale 2025, and that our team managed to win,” she said.
