Five UGM Vocational College students have developed an innovation called My Heavy Equipment, an application for recording heavy equipment service history integrated with the Internet of Things (IoT).
The product was created to facilitate companies in obtaining service data, enabling them to make policies that enhance heavy equipment productivity.
“My Heavy Equipment is an application designed for the mining sector, especially in the heavy equipment maintenance division,” explained team leader Fabio Khrisna.
Khrisna mentioned that the development of the My Heavy Equipment application began due to the widespread application of IoT in various sectors.
With an application that can monitor heavy equipment and serve as a source of data analysis to improve equipment productivity, they aimed to develop a product specifically for heavy equipment maintenance, serving as a breakthrough in the mining sector.
“The implementation of IoT in this application makes it easier for users to know the operational status of heavy equipment in real time. In the future, we are striving to enhance and add features to the My Heavy Equipment application to align with the field’s future needs,” he added.
The team created this product through the Student Creativity Program in Innovative Work. They successfully received funding from the Ministry of Education and Culture.
The application was developed by Fabio Khrisna, Rizki Andriansyah Pradana, Albarra Ammara Hadi, Ahmad Yusuf Ridho, and Daniel Imanuel Manafe under the guidance of Dr. Irfan Bahiuddin.
