The Universitas Gadjah Mada KKN-PPM Lembaran Bayan 2025 team will soon carry out community service in Bayan District, North Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara.
This year, the UGM team is establishing a strategic collaboration with Universitas Mataram (Unram) to implement the KKN program in Senaru Village.
Senaru is a tourist village located at the foot of Mount Rinjani.
The UGM KKN-PPM team consists of 30 students, who will be divided into two villages. Fifteen students will be in Senaru Village, and the other 15 in Bayan Village.
They will carry out hundreds of work programs under the theme “Optimization of Ecotourism and Digital Village Empowerment.”
“With a spirit of cooperation, both universities will join forces to support village development based on local potential and environmental sustainability,” said Adi Arrasyid, Coordinator of UGM KKN PPM Students, on Monday (Jun. 16).
According to Arrasyid, the collaboration between the UGM KKN-PPM Lembaran Bayan Team and Universitas Mataram began in early June 2025.
It started with Unram’s initiative to contact the UGM team to explore potential cooperation in Senaru Village.
Previously, the UGM KKN-PPM Team had also coordinated with representatives from the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of North Lombok Regency.
This coordination aimed to discuss the readiness of program implementation and the welcome of the student team at the KKN location.
“The synergy between the universities and local government is expected to facilitate program implementation while strengthening its impact on the community,” he said.
Arrasyid mentioned that KKN activities will begin on Jun. 20, 2025.
This follows the simultaneous deployment ceremony of the UGM Community Service Program Learning and Community Empowerment (KKN-PPM) Period 2.
This deployment will be guided by Field Supervising Lecturer Lukman Awaludin.

Lukman Awaludin stated that the selection of Senaru Village and Bayan Village as KKN locations is due to their great potential.
This potential exists in the ecotourism and agricultural sectors, as well as in digital village development.
“In its implementation, the team will focus on a participatory and sustainable approach that prioritizes local wisdom and community empowerment,” Awaludin said.
Awaludin hopes that this Collaborative KKN will not only strengthen the capacity of village communities but also serve as an example of good practice for cross-campus community service with a broad impact.
