Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) was awarded the second-best implementer of the Performance Accountability System for Government Institutions (SAKIP) in the category of State Universities with Legal Entities (PTN-BH) by the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology on Tuesday (Apr. 30).
The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education, Dr. Suharti, directly presented the certificate of appreciation to UGM Vice-Rector for Education and Teaching, Professor Wening Udasmoro.
UGM Director of Planning, Dr. Ely Susanto, stated that the award for the best SAKIP implementer was assessed based on components according to Regulation of the Minister of Bureaucratic Reform No. 88 of 2021.
He mentioned that the evaluated components include performance planning, performance measurement, performance reporting, and internal performance accountability evaluation.
“From all of these components, UGM received a score of 92.35 with the AA predicate,” said Dr. Susanto.
For him, UGM’s success in receiving the award for the performance accountability system is attributed to the collaboration and synergy of all related parties, as well as UGM’s commitment to implementing good university governance principles through various innovations in program implementation and activities to achieve UGM’s Strategic Plan.
“More than just an award, this achievement reaffirms UGM’s position as a government institution that prioritizes efficiency and effectiveness and provides tangible benefits for the nation’s progress,” he said.
Dr. Susanto emphasized that for performance accountability in planning and finance, UGM is committed to prioritizing accountability and performance in educating human resources and supporting sustainable national development.
He stated that this achievement will motivate UGM to continuously improve its quality standards and contributions to education, research, and community service.
Minister of Education Nadiem Makarim, in his welcoming speech, congratulated the institutions and universities within the Ministry of Education environment that received awards for budget performance, implementation of the performance accountability system for government institutions, public information transparency, and the best archival processing unit for the fiscal year 2023.
“I extend my congratulations and highest appreciation to those who have effectively managed the performance accountability system. Budget planning, allocation, and utilization based on performance and results-oriented approaches support bureaucratic reform and serve as guidelines for implementing the MBKM program,” he explained.
