
Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has established a strategic collaboration with three corporate partners on Tuesday (Sep. 30) at the UGM Innovation and Creativity Hub (GIK UGM).
The partners include PT Indomobil Sukses International Tbk, PT Indomobil Edukasi Utama, IndoEd Sukses Pte Ltd, and the SxT Foundation.
All four are recognized for their strong commitment to supporting student capacity development, particularly in English proficiency through Artificial Intelligence (AI), with initiatives in education, training, and career development.
Vice-Rector for Research, Business Development, and Partnerships, Dr. Danang Sri Hadmoko, emphasized that this partnership was not merely ceremonial but the beginning of a long-term collaboration built on trust, shared vision, and collective ambition.
“We are combining UGM’s strong academic foundation with the forward-looking business and technological insights of four leading partners from the automotive industry, educational technology, and two pioneering blockchain innovators,” he said at the UGM Shop, GIK UGM, Tuesday (Sep. 30).
Dr. Hadmoko expressed his hope that the collaboration would produce graduates who are not only academically excellent but also future-ready. Through these partnerships, UGM students will gain global competencies, digital skills, and the agility to lead in a constantly evolving world.
“This strategic agreement will create transformative opportunities for our students and beyond. Initiatives such as the AL TeachCast English Course and the AL UGM Learning Center will strengthen communication skills, expand real-world access, and realize future-ready education,” he explained.
Bambang Prijono, Director of PT Indomobil Sukses International Tbk, highlighted the company’s strong commitment to education as the backbone of a dynamic and competitive Indonesia, capable of producing skilled and ready-to-work graduates. He emphasized that to thrive in such an environment, technical skills are indispensable.
“Global communication and competencies are becoming essential qualities that students must possess,” he said.
Meanwhile, Brian James Holiday, Director of IndoEd Sukses Pte Ltd and the Space and Time (SxT) Foundation, described the partnership as a shared leap into the future.
“This is a future where knowledge meets innovation, where tradition converges with technology, and where collaboration shapes leaders. We are optimistic that through this alliance, we will create meaningful impact, nurture a generation of innovators, and inspire change,” he remarked.
The collaboration with PT Indomobil Edukasi Utama will focus on enhancing English proficiency, offering internship programs for UGM students, recruitment opportunities, and other supporting activities to meet evolving societal needs.
The scope of the partnership encompasses training, education, and research related to English, as well as community service through the implementation of the TeachCast AI English Course, coordinated by the Directorate of Academic Innovation and Studies at UGM.
The cooperation agreement between UGM and PT Indomobil Sukses International Tbk covers the development of academic programs, research, internships, recruitment, and other supporting activities.
Its scope encompasses the implementation of education, research, and community service, as well as student and graduate recruitment and internship activities.
Meanwhile, the agreement with IndoEd focuses specifically on education and training, providing human resource development programs, international cooperation, and distributing the English Fluency Test (EFT) in Indonesia.
