Starting the first working day after Eid al-Fitr holidays 1438 Hijri on Monday (3/7), the academic community of UGM held a gathering at UGM Main Office. It is a tradition of asking and giving forgiveness at the end of the fasting period. This annual tradition becomes a moment to gather UGM academic community from various faculties and units.
The event was started at 8 a.m. with the opening speech from UGM Rector, Prof. Ir. Panut Mulyono, M.Eng., D.Eng. In this occasion, he delivered Eid al-Fitr greetings for all UGM academic community. He also said he was grateful for this opportunity where the big family of UGM can gather in one place to celebrate Eid al-Fitr together.
He hopes this event can strengthen the sense of family among UGM academic community and it can encourage work relations as well as better work performance in the future.
“After Eid al-Fitr, I hope we can make better achievements than before,” said Prof. Panut.
After the speech, the Rector along with Vice-Rectors, Academic Senate, Board of Professors, as well as university leaders and faculty members, in turn, shook hands with each other and apologized with UGM employees and partners. After that, the event was continued with hospitality where resfreshments were served to be enjoyed by all.
