YOGYAKARTA- University of Reutlingen, Germany, explores cooperation with UGM. It has been marked by the visit of Vice Rector for International Cooperation of Reutlingen University, Prof. Hendrik Brumme, to UGM recently. During his visit to UGM, Prof. Hendrik was accompanied by Prof. Balder Veit, Director of International Affairs, and Petra Greiner from ESB Business School. The University of Reutlingen delegation was received directly by Prof. Pratikno, Dr. Rachmat Sriwijaya, and Rio Rini Diah Moehkardi, M.A.
Prof. Hendrik explained that the visit was a joint exploration between University of Reutlingen and UGM on undergraduate student exchange in international business as well as students of S2/ Master program.
"We are trying to establish cooperation for student exchange of undergraduate and Master program in the field of international business," Hendrik said.
Dealing with the cooperation, Hendrik said he would cooperate more closely with Faculty of Economics and Business UGM, In addition, in the near future they will cooperate with Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and Faculty of Engineering.
After the meeting, Reutlingen University delegates continued the meeting with Faculty of Economics and Business, which was represented by Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Research and Community Service, B.M Purwanto , MBA., Ph.D. In the meeting, they agreed to send 3-5 students to Reutlingen to have exchange program and vice versa. Student exchange is planned to run from February 2013 which will be followed by the visit of Dr. BM Purwanto to Reutlingen in upcoming November.
