In the place owned by Mirza Akbar, student of Department of Animal Science and Industry Universitas Gadjah Mada, a full menu of ice cream is served. Various forms of ice cream can be found in this place, regular ice cream sundae flavored, premium flavored sundae, special yummy, floata de coco, and banana split.
Each menu can be ordered in accordance with different tastes and preferences of each buyer. The flavors available are chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, durian, and mocha. The price is also affordable, ranging from Rp5,000 to Rp7,500. Banana splits menu offers a bowl of ice cream mixed with two banana splits covered in milk and chocolate chip. Meanwhile, floata de coco is a soft drink mixed with ice cream and nata de coco.
To the reporters on Tuesday (6/9), manager Joko Triono, said the ice cream is not the only main menu, Bakul Siomae also provides dumplings menu with mackerel flavors with side dishes of tofu, potato, mushroom , rice noodles, corn, and sedap malam flowers along with mackerel fish broth. "The special thing is that the stuffing of the dumplings has more vegetables in it," he promoted. Although it has only been established for three months, Bakul Siomae already has regular customers. However, ice cream remains the main attraction for buyers.
Bakul Siomae is one of the enterprise units owned by Akbar Mirza that has expanded its business by opening his own outlets. It is a consequence of his commitment to become independent entrepreneur after winning the Shell LiveWIRE Business Start-Up Awards 2010. They were selected among the 378 teams that competed at that time.
