Coming on the age of 56 years, Faculty of Economics and Business UGM holds a series of anniversary celebrations. The anniversary this time raised the theme of Achievement in the Commitment of Integrity and Fraternity.
Starting the event, on Tuesday (6/9), a volleyball competition was held. On the occasion, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Business Development, Prof. Wihana Kirana Jaya opened the series of events and the volleyball competition by serving the volley ball on the court. "This sport competition is expected to build and strengthen kinship among Faculties in UGM," Wihana said.
Committee Chairman of the 56th Anniversary, Slamet Wakhid Ciptono, Ph.D., mentioned that the events run from 6 to 19 September 2011. The activities start with sports competitions namely volleyball (6-18/9), tennis (10-11/9), and badminton (16-17/9). Furthermore, there is student week, including entrepreneurship bazaar, exhibitions, research workshops, as well as a photo exhibition (12-16/9), and cultural event (16/9).
Next, there are visits (14/9) and pilgrimage (15/9) to be made, national creative industries exhibition (17-18/9), family fun day (18/9), as well as tumpengan and syawalan gathering (18/9). These are topped with open Faculty Senate session (19/9), which consists of Anniversary speeches by the Dean of Faculty of Economics and Business, scientific speech by Prof. Dr. Zaki Baridwan, M.Sc., entitled Accounting and Reporting for Sustainable Scientific, and book launching Prospective Management.
