This year UGM is trusted to be holding entrepreneur student program 2011. It is one of programs from Dikti that is aimed at creating entrepreneurial students as well as having experience in running a business.
“This time UGM receives some 600 million rupiah for the implementation of the program. We’re targeting 30 students to get selected in this program,” said chairman of the program, Ibnu Wahid F A., S.TP., M.T., to reporters after the socialization of the program at Grha Sabha Pramana UGM, Saturdat (9/4).
Ibnu said this time it was the third for UGM to participate in the program since 2009. In 2009, UGM received 2 billion rupiah which was distributed into working capital to 56 business groups. In 2010 UGM received 1.5 billion that was distributed to 48 working group.
Ibnu conveyed that the selection pattern this time was different from that last year. “This time there are 4 stages to go through, namely questionnaire in soft skills, diselection, bootcamp selection, and business plan selection,” he said.
Such selection pattern is started for those who have real ambition to become entrepreneurs. The next selection is a workshop that adopts the bootcamp method, aimed at buidling entrepreneurial spirit, mindset, risk-taking courage and motivation. “Participants are equipped with visionary entrepreneurial skills and abilities to run a business positively,” he explained.
The next patterns is apprenticeship to increase understanding about the actual business process. In the implementation which takes the form of mutual partnership with companies there will be collaboration with Co-Ops of various state owned enterprises. Then, there will be mentoring and business development that are sustainable, measured and systematic given by lecturers who have business coach certificate. “The last is monitoring and evaluation of the business implementation and network increase as further business development,” Ibnu explained.
This program lasts from 9-12 April 2011 for graduate students who have completed 4 semester/having a minimum of 80 credits, students in diploma program who have completed semester 3/having a minimum of 60 credits. The deadline of form submission is 13 April 2011. Announcement of those who pass the first selection will be made on 19 April 2011.
