YOGYAKARTA-To learn more about scholarship and doctoral education in the Indonesian Consortium for Religious Studies (ICRS), Friday (25/3), an open house was held for the general public and academics on the 3rd floor of the Graduate School of UGM.
According to the Director of the ICRS Yogya, Dr. Siti Syamsiyatun, new student enrollment has been opened. The deadline for registration for prospective students with ITP-TOEFL between 475 and 525 is 28 March 2011. For prospective students with ITP-TOEFL score above 525, registration ends on June 14, 2011. "It’s open to the public and academics in particular who want to know more about scholarship and doctoral education in the ICRS," said Siti, Friday (25/3).
Siti adds ICRS provides a package of international doctoral scholarship program and cross-cultural religious studies. The amount of scholarships offered around U$27,000 or 250 million rupiah for four-year, including living expenses, book allowances, and health insurance. "The scholarship offer will be evaluated every semester," she said on the sidelines of the open house.
ICRS also has been provided opportunity for students to carry out the Sandwich Program for one semester at a number of leading overseas universities such as Georgetown University, Duke University, Florida International University, Temple University, National of Singapore, and Cape Town University.
ICRS Yogyakarta is international S-3 program of studies in the field of inter-faith and culture. This course is the only one in Indonesia as a result of a consortium of three universities, namely Universitas Gadjah Mada, UIN Sunan Kalijaga, and Christian University of Duta Wacana. ICRS Yogya also has a network of cooperation with various universities in Asia, Europe, America, and Africa.
