Professor Emilia highlighted the strategic opportunities for RSGM in developing health services through a collaborative approach across UGM units. UGM’s One Health concept is a key institutional strength that must be translated into concrete governance for a teaching hospital. Transformational leadership is essential to safeguarding the institution’s character, dignity, and capacity for innovation.
“We want consolidation and coordination to continue in harmony, moving together toward a higher purpose,” she said.
Following the inauguration, the Director of Prof. Soedomo Dental and Oral Hospital of UGM, Dr. Margareta Rinastiti, took the integrity oath as a formal commitment to fulfilling her responsibilities in the position.
She affirmed her readiness to uphold integrity, morality, and accountability in the exercise of all entrusted authorities. This commitment includes rejecting all forms of corruption, collusion, and nepotism, as well as dedicating herself fully to improving institutional performance.
“I am willing to accept moral and administrative sanctions, as well as legal consequences in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations, should I violate the commitments stated in this integrity pact,” she asserted.
This inauguration is expected to serve as a starting point for strengthening the governance of Prof. Soedomo Dental and Oral Hospital of UGM as a leading teaching hospital. Under the new leadership, the development of services, education, and research is directed to align more closely with UGM’s overarching vision.
Internal and cross-unit synergies are projected to drive sustainable improvements in the quality of dental and oral health services. This step also reinforces the hospital’s role in supporting the university’s mission to provide dental and oral health services to the wider community.
