Forum Studi dan Diskusi Ekonomi is an annual sequence of events organized by Economics Student Club, under the Department of Economics, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. The event was created to trigger students’ critical thinking skill about the Indonesian Economy and enhance society’s awareness of recent economic issues. Economic Challenge and Seminars are open for public to participate and Olympiad-like events are open for high school students to join.
Each year the event is organized by students of Gadjah Mada University majoring in economics, supervised by the Dean of students and funded by the university and donors. We are expanding since the first initiation of the event in 2006. Our latest event was back in 2012, as the first International FSDE (in terms of seminar and academic writing competition).
This year, we are coming and expanding our range to be better and bigger in delivering impact along with fresh knowledge to the society. Three major events are Kompetisi Ekonomi Nasional (KEN), International Challenge on Economic Ideas (ICEI) and FSDE International Seminar (FIS).
