My Teacher Tangram, Mainan Edukatif Tingkatkan Kognisi Anak

A group of students of Universitas Gadjah Mada has made a product to educate young children.

This concept is realised into creative products by My Teacher Tangram group, consisting of Muhamad Randi Ritvaldi, Verdiaz Refikhanata, and Urfan Qinthara (Electrical Engineering), Tyas Nurul Hidayati (Industrial Engineering), and Naufi Ulumun Nafiah (Psychology) with supervisor, Avrin Nur Widiastuti, S.T., M.Eng.

“The educational value in this product will train not only the cognitive skills of the young children, but also motoric, emotion, creativity, imagination, and self-confidence to solve problems,” said Tyas Nurul Hidayati.

Tyas said the My Teacher Tangram was a product to educate the Indonesian children through educational games. A puzzle-like game made from acryllic will help children visualise goods that are available around them.

Easy to use by children between 4-7 years old, the children will try to guess the name of shapes produced by the puzzle, hence stimulating their curiosity and cognition.

Their supervisor, Avrin Nur Widyastuti, said the My Teacher already received support from stakeholders, including from Dr. Mei Neni Sitaresmi, pediatrician, who said that My Teacher Tangram was a good toy for children growing up.
