Eringga Irfiana, student of Accounting, Faculty of Economics and Business UGM is elected one of Best Individuals during the Unilever Future Leaders’ League (UFFL) Indonesia on 20 November 2015. Her team, Seven Tough, also became the first winner.
“Elected the best team made us entitled to represent Indonesia in the Global Round in the Headquarters of Unilever Global in London in April 2016,” she said on Wednesday (25/11) at UGM.
In the world competition, Eringga and members of Seven Tough, Kristanto Robby Winner (ITB) and Hagi Yufantra (Prasetiya Mulia) have to beat 30 teams or 90 participants from 30 countries. The UFFL is a global business competition held by Unilever involving youths from around the world. In Indonesia, selection for Unilever Future Leaders’ League started in October 2015 involving 1,500 applicants. Up to 450 people have to submit analysis on business case put in essays. Then there are 30 best essays being selected from 12 Indonesian universities.
“In the final selection, three best teams and individuals are selected to be presented to the jury,” she said.
Related to her achievement, Eringga was excited to be able to make UGM proud. This is not apart from the support from the Faculty of Economics and Business.
Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Wihana Kirana Jaya, M.Soc.Sc., was proud and thankful for this achievement, it is a proof of the Faculty’s success in generating future leaders.
“We always support student activities, including those joining competitions. We’re ready to support UGM to become the University that is Globally Respected, Locally Rooted,” he concluded.
