Mankind found a 1,756 meter long fossilized skeleton of a 120 thousand-year-old on the island of Java during an earthquake in 2006. The findings of this confuse religious leaders, politicians and scientists. The world was debating between doing research on the skull fossil findings or eliminating them from the surface of the earth on humanitarian grounds. A girl is determined to uncover the mystery behind the discovery of the fossil skull and preach it to the world. This is the plot of a movie called The Skull by UGM Vocational School academicians.
“The film is not a teen horror movie, but a science fiction movie. We want to offer a new kind of film for Indonesian audiences,” said Deputy Director of Academic and Student Affairs of UGM Vocational School, Wikan Sakarinto, ST, M.Sc., Ph.D., at the launch of the Skull movie trailer, Friday (11/3) ,
The film was written and directed by Yusron Fuadi, M.Sn., lecturers of Computer and Information Systems in UGM Vocational School. The project involves students and lecturers of Vocational School as performer, arranger, editors, animators, as well as other roles. The film production process will be completed in September and will be included in various international film festivals before being released in theaters early next year.
The launch of trailer for this film is one part of a series of events of Vocation Expo and Open House (VEOH) 2016.
