The warm weather often creates uncomfort in the head for people, especially women who wear hijab and athletes. Perspiration also makes the hair oily and wet.
Seeing this condition, a number of UGM students were trying to develop a product to solve the case. The students are Dila Rachma Aryaningrum, Muthi Roufah, and Anisah Nur Masyitoh from Pharmacy study programme, and Eris Sofyan Tri Saputra and Omar M. Bintang from Engineering study programme.
They all made a special product, HiFresh, for women wearing hijab and athletes. HiFresh is an innovation to cool and freshen up the head.
Eris said HiFresh combines spandex or rib materials that is able to cool off the head. With gels in the form of super absorbent polyakrilate that can supply cooling water to evaporise.
“We also use natural herbs that have anti-bacteria therapy as well as cooling sensation,” she said on Friday 3/6) at UGM.
HiFresh is designed as a headband that can be worn by anyone. Users can do their activities well whilst not feeling warmed up due to oily and smelly hair.
A pack of HiFresh product consists of headband and gel that can be refilled. Contact Line @rnp5119v, IG: Hifreshproduct, Fb: Hifresh for further inquiries. It costs Rp25,000 each while gel refill Rp1,000/sachet.
“Using this product hopefully can minimise the uncomfort when doing daily activities,” she said.
