UGM Raih The Best Presenter di AGSC 2016

Environmental Geography students of Universitas Gadjah Mada joining the Environmental Geography Student Association (EGSA) have become The Best Presenter during the second Asean Geography Student Conference (AGSC) at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta from 12-13 November 2016.

"Asean Geography Student Conference is joined by Geography students from ASEAN universities that have passed selections on scientific papers. Thank God, we won the best presenter category," said Aditya Pradana at Faculty of Geography UGM on Friday (18/11).

Aditya Pradana, team chairman, said  Universitas Gadjah Mada sent three teams to the  AGSC with 12 members from  Environmental Geography.

Aditya said the UGM team presented their paper themed “Coastal Typology Mapping for Sustainable Coastal Development” with Aji Purnomo being chairman. Another paper themed “Water Balance Analysis to Combat Climate Change Impact” is chaired by Alya Rasyida Zahra.

"These are very useful because they added to our experience to compete at ASEAN level, and the UGM team also had the opportunity to publish the papers during the event,” said Aditya.

Made Nandini added, the second Asean Geography Student Conference (AGSC) covered events such as seminar, conference, and fieldtrip. At the closing event, a declaration was read out, containing commitment of the youth on Alleviate Poverty and Protect the Earth issue.

“Obviously, we gained new experiences and contributed to supporting sustainable developments in Asean, and Indonesia in particular, through our research,” said Made Nandini.
