Faculty of Medicince UGM has organised Medical Charity Night to raise funds for student community service. Medical Charity Night presented well known musicians, such as Tulus, Shena, and Lilo and Friends on Wednesday (16/11) at Ambarukmo Hotel, Yogyakarta. It was appreciated by students, lecturers and general public. In the concert there was also education talks on non-communicable diseases.

Dean of Faculty of Medicine UGM, Prof. dr. Ova Emilia, M.Med.Ed., SpOG(K)., Ph.D., opening the event appreciated everyone that has made it a success. This event is against the background of student community service that is done directly on the field, such as health promotion and explanation, blood level test, blood sugar test, and others. These all need enough funding to give good health treatment to members of society. Ova explained the event could further be the learning media for students to learn entrepreneurship. The event also became the media for donors that want to donate for public health.

“This event is a very good one, initiated by students, for students, while the funds that are collected are for the interest of society,” she said.
