Application of Joint Selection to State University (SBMPTN) will close on Friday, 5 May 2017 at 22.00 West Indonesian Time. Head of Public Relations and Protocol Office of UGM, Dr. Iva Ariani, said the SBMPTN was based on written results of Paper Based Testing (PBT) and Computer Based Testing (CBT) systems.
Iva said the SBMPTN 2017 was followed by students graduating in 2015, 2016, and 2017 from regular high schools, vocational schools, Islamic school, and Package C system.
“For those that have not applied yet, please do so up until Friday (5/5) at 22.00 hours,” said Iva on Thursday (4/5).
Iva added five state universities in Yogyakarta – UGM, UNY, UPN, UIN Sunan Kalijaga, and ISI – were ready to do the SBMPTN 2017.
The mechanims of selection this time are not much different from previous ones. Students may select up to a maximum of three study programmes. If they only choose one, they can select any state university. The order of choices shows their priority of choice.
“Those that choose two or three study programmes have to have one in the same area with the place where they would sit for the test,” she added.
Iva said the CBTand PBT would run on 16 May while tests for skills in arts and sports on 17 and 18 May. Announcement of the result of the SBMPTN will be made on 13 June 2017. Seat allocations in the five universities are UGM 2,657 people, UNY 1,862, UIN Sunan Kalijaga 500, UPN 920 and ISI 106 people.
