Universitas Gadjah Mada had the honour to host International Learning Experience Workshop on Tuesday (20/2).
It was organised by Universitas Gadjah Mada, Research, Technology, and Higher Education Ministry, and Rolls Royce to know the achievements of International Learning Experience Program that was organised by Rolls Royce and British Council – Newton Fund.
For 3 years from 2015 – 2017 as many as 30 leaders of 4 universities, namely Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Indonesia, Institut Teknologi Bandung, and Institut Teknologi Surabaya, had the opportunity to follow the programme at Ashbridge Business School in the UK and visited Rolls Royce headquarters to know firsthand the process of technology innovation and progress of the corporation.
The achievements of the programme was delivered by Dr. Bicky Bhangu, Regional Director of Rolls Royce for South East Asia, Pacific, and South Korea. Another presentation was given on Policy of Research Development by Prof. Dr. Ocky Karna Radjasa, M.Sc., Director for Research and Community Service, and on Innovation Development Policy in Higher Education by Ir. Santoso Yudo Warsono, MT., Director of Industrial Innovation in the Higher Education Ministry.
The event went with two group discussions on human resource development and mobility programme as well as cooperation, development of research, innovation, and industry. The event was concluded with a visit to UGM business units such as Gamatechno, Gama Swayasa and AINO by Rolls Royce.
