The development of a country should involve the society, regardless the gender. Therefore, each individual have to improve their quality to be potential and qualified human resources. Meanwhile all leaders, women or men, are ideally have the gender-based leadership, which makes them able to accommodate both of men and women importance in various development sectors.
The head of Center for Women Studies of UGM Dr R Ay Siti Hariti Sastriyani conveyed this on Monday (15/6), three days before the start of National Seminar entitled “Gender-Based Leadershipâ€. The seminar will be held on Thursday June 18 2009 at the Cakra Kembang Hotel, Kaliurang street Yogyakarta. The seminar was held for lecturers, teachers, women organization, researchers, students, government institution, NGO, legislatives, executives, industry, and public.
Siti Hariti Sastriyani hoped that the activity will improve the gender awareness and develop a gender-based leadership.
