After some improvement, on Friday (31/7), UGM with Bank Mandiri established the Rekadaya Boga Plaza Humaniora Mandiri Canteen located at UGM’s Faculty of Cultural Sciences. The ribbon was cut by the Special Director of Bank Mandiri’s Asset Management, Abdul Rachman, accompanied by Senior Vice Rector for Administrative, Financial, and Human Resources Affairs, Prof. Ainun Na’im, Ph.D.
In his welcoming speech Abdul Rachman mentioned that the bond between UGM and Bank Mandiri has been established since long enough that many of UGM’s alumni work at Bank Mandiri. Thus, he continued, all UGM’s alumni should be prioritized when applying for job in Mandiri. Bank Mandiri in this occasion also commits to continue working with UGM in any form of cooperation possible.
Prof. Ainun added up to this by saying that UGM has been known as the agent of development, and so it realizes that it can’t possibly be done without the help of the society and other instances.
Meanwhile, in terms of transforming Bonbin Canteen into Rekadaya Boga Plaza Humaniora Mandiri Canteen, the Executive Secretary of UGM Drs. Djoko Moerdiyanto, M.A. highlighted that PT Bank Mandiri gave contribution in the form of 2,5 x 3 m2 12 kiosk with racks, two toilets, and one 144 m2 customer hall. The canteen is also facilitated with 12 tables and 24 long 1,5 m seats that are capable of 96 customers.
