As many as 740 student candidates will enroll Gadjah Mada University after passing the National Selection of State University (abbreviated SNMPTN) in 2009. This means that UGM has more than doubled the number since last year.
According to the Director of UGM’s Academic Administration who is also the head of the local committee of SNMPTN in Special District of YOgyakarta, Dr. Budi Prasetyo Widyobroto, Friday (31/7), the total number that register this year has increased from 13 thousand to 16 thousand. “The priority for most registrars is still the same, Faculty of Medicine,†he said.
Budi also estimated that the total number of new students accepted in 3 National University that hold SNMPTN in Yogyakarta; UGM, UIN Sunan Kalijaga, and UNY, is 3.800. “UNY still holds the highest number,†he ended.
