The Paris Institute for Political Studies, Science Po University, France, offered scholarships for postgraduate and doctorate program to UGM students and undergraduate program for Senior High School students in Yogyakarta to attract more Indonesian students to study in France.
Riza Noer Arfani, the Head of the Division of International Cooperation, UGM’s Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, stated that Indonesian people’s interest to study in Fracnce is still low.
The representative from Science Po University, Miguel Lim, informed that the university has a scholarship program “Emile Boutmy†with 4000-15000 Euro/year for well-achieving students who have social studies. (Further information can be found at www.admission.sciences-po.fr).
Science Po is an international university founded in 1871 that concentrates on social studies. There are 10 programs of study , 7 of which are in English and French. Science Po also has master program for communication, journalism, economy, law, and international relations. There are also 15 programs of study in the field of economy, history, sociology, and political science. In addition, the post-degree offers a master of public affairs program and executive masters at the continuing education department.
Scholarship offers also came from France’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It gives a 1,181 Euro Eiffel scholarship program every month along with airplane tickets to France and health insurance. The offer will be open until November this year. For more information please check www.edige.asso.fr.
