LPPT UGM is the university’s central laboratory, a merger between four central laboratories, namely the Central Chemical and Physical Analysis Laboratory (LAKFIP), the Bioscience Laboratory (LIH), the Center for Traditional Drugs (PSOT) and the Unit for Animal Testing Services (UPHP). All of these are already familiar with the people as they provide service for and give contribution to the university and the community in line with their field of expertise.
LPPT UGM was formally established by Rector’s Decree No 265/P/SK/HT/2004 dated 29 November 2004. By early 2005 the LPPT management team was already in full force with high commitment to improve the contribution of each laboratory towards a more strategic, integrated, collaborative direction based on inter-discipline approaches. The LPPT UGM is run under the principle of standard laboratory management, the ISO/IEC 17025:2000 standard, added with reinforced early competence in vitamin and pesticide testing. LPPT UGM can also carry out testing in mycotoxin, fitofarmaka, traditional drugs, fitomedicine, trace-element, etc.
Service:
LPPT UGMÂ also provides services in research development, scales and volume calibration, analysis and repair of tools, product development, methods and tools oriented towards the Indonesian National Standard, development and making of technology that supports research, technology that supports industrial process, innovative technology oriented towards the intellectual property rights. The LPPT also facilitates affiliation processes between all UGM faculties, and facilitates partnerships.
