For the umpteenth time, Mitsubishi UFJ Foundation has given scholarships to 16 students of UGM. The scholarships were presented by the General Manager of UFJ Foundation, Mr. Hideaki Taga, accompanied by the Head of HRD of the Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ, Mr. Dadi Arif, and the Director of Student Affairs, UGM, Drs. Haryanto, M.Sc., at the Multimedia Room of UGM Central Office, Wednesday (7 / 10).
According to Haryanto, the scholarship recipients are chosen students who have very good academic achievements. The students receiving this scholarship will be given educational assistance worth 300 thousand/month for a year. Therefore, they are expected to maintain their academic achievements.
"Besides having a high grade, those who qualify in receiving this scholarship are students who would not receive scholarships from any other party," said the man who is familiarly called Pak Sentot.
Dadi Arif said UFJ Foundation has awarded scholarships since 1984 with a dimension that is not always the same. For the selection procedure, the UFJ Foundation has entrusted all of it to the designated universities. "Of course the students have to have good performance and need financial help. This is a form of our social responsibility to assist the development of a country through education," said Dadi.
The sixteen lucky students who received the scholarships this year are Fragadian Rizky W., Dayang Holy Aprillia, Alifah Rikhmah Idialis, Luthfiana Hartanti, Erica Dheany, Nur Hanifah Hayyuningtyas, Anwar Srtyawan, Andi Putri Sakti Harining, Ridho Fitra Fakhtu EP, Nisaul Muhsinin (Faculty of Economics and Business), Arie Dyta Ernawati, Yulia Dara, Indra Meditya M., STAR Adam Pradana (Faculty of Law), and Atri Fitriati and Devita Widyaningtyas Yogyanti (Faculty of Cultural Science).
