50 Years of Geodesy Engineering Dept of FT UGM

The Geodesy Engineering Department of FT UGM will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2009. To commemorate the golden birthday, various events will be held starting in late 2008 until 2009 as its peak. A series of events have been officially started on 26th October 2008 on 09.00 a.m. in KPTU FT-UGM. The opening ceremony was officially opened by the Rector Deputy for Alumni and Businesses Development of UGM Prof. Toni Atyanto Dharoko and was signed by the balloons and 50 years of Geodesy Engineering banner release.


The head of Organizing Committee Dr. Trias Aditya explained that the ceremony of 50th year of Geodesy Engineering’s main theme is Geodesy and Geomathics Engineering for National Welfare and Defense. It is hoped that the series of activity can strengthen the professional and social network between academic society and alumni community. A strong professional and social network can expand the role of campus and alumni in helping and improving the society.


The Rector Deputy for Alumni and Businesses Development of UGM Prof. Toni Atyanto Dharoko gave his opening speech. Other people who read their speeches are the head of Geodesy Engineering Dept of FT UGM, Subaryono PhD and the head of Geodesy Engineering Alumni Dr. Chaizi Nasukha.
