Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and PT (Persero) Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk., agreed to cooperate in educational field and IT services. The MoU was signed by UGM Rector Prof. Ir. Sudjarwadi, M.Eng., Ph.D., and Vice Director Enterprise & Wholesale of PT. Telkom Indonesia, Slamet Riyadi, at UGM Leadership Room, Wednesday (9/12).

In this cooperation, UGM as educational institution intends to give best IT service facility for its academic community. Meanwhile, PT. Telkom as service provider of telecommunication, information, media and edutainment (TIME) is committed to give best service in Indonesian educational field.

With this signing, Slamet Riyadi said that PT. Telkom as the only flag carrier ICT provider should support educational programs in Indonesia. This cooperation is one of those set up between UGM and PT. Telkom. “I hope with this cooperation, PT. Telkom can give best services for UGM academic community,†said Slamet Riyadi. He also said that PT. Telkom has given services for UGM the most. With this cooperation, various existing services will be improved.
The Rector also welcomed this cooperation. He highly appreciated that PT. Telkom that still supports Indonesia. UGM has vision similar to others, however, UGM’s vision has additional values in its orientation to social affairs and dedication to the nation and prosperity. Meanwhile, for UGM’s value, said Rector, science is for civilisation, usefulness and happiness. The IT facility support is hoped to help UGM.
Also attending in that meeting were Executive Secretary of UGM, Drs. Djoko Moerdiyanto M.A., Director of Asset Management and Maintenance, Dr. Ing. Singgih Hawibowo, Head of PPTIK, Drs. Bambang Nurcahyo Prastowo, M.Sc., and Head of Alumni Administrative Affairs and Business Development, Ir. Mochammad Santoso, S.U.
